Find the correct height for the coffee table
When you are going to buy a coffee table, you must first determine how high your coffee table should be. This depends entirely on the sofa, you want it to be about the same height or lower than the seating area of the sofa or armchairs around it. Everything on the coffee table must be within reach. Most coffee tables are between 30 and 50 cm high.
Choose the right size of the coffee table
On the one hand, the size of the coffee table must be adjusted to personal needs and on the other to the size of the sofa and the living room in general. If the living room is very large, a coffee table that is too small will be lost, while a large table in a small room can get extremely in the way. As a guideline, you can assume that the length of the coffee table may be about half or a third of the couch. It also depends on how much you want to place on the coffee table. Do you dress up the coffee table with many accessories? Then a somewhat larger coffee table is suitable. Do you like a minimalist living style and do you need less space to store things? Then opt for a smaller table model.
Square or round coffee table?
