Zo vindt u uw perfecte industriële tafel | Station7

This is how to find your perfect industrial table

When it comes to industrial tables, you have more than choice enough: from large tables for eight guests to small models that are ideal as a coffee table. Finding a table that matches your interior is not always an easy task. This short checklist will help you discover exactly what you are looking for in your industrial table.

Metal or wood? Or both?

Most industrial tables contain wood or metal. In some cases, these two materials are even combined. Decide for yourself which material you find the most beautiful: do you like the warm look of wood or do you prefer the rugged quality of metal? The advantage of metal is that this material is easy to clean. The disadvantage is that metal can rust if not treated properly. Wooden tables often look more luxurious, but are a bit more difficult to care for. Are you going for a wooden table top? Combine it with a metal frame to maintain the industrial look as much as possible.

Round, square or a rectangular table?

The shape of your new industrial table of course must suit the rest of your interior. Do you have a small room you want to fill with a dining table or coffee table? Choose models with a square or round shape. These tables do not take up much space and provide additional conviviality.  You can even place a square table against the wall if you want to save space. In larger spaces, on the other hand, it is nice to choose dining tables with a rectangular or oval shape. You can sit a lot of people at these tables and you also have lots of room for a nice dinner or a fun game.

Polished or rustic?

Are you looking for wooden coffee tables? You have the choice from rustic models or polished table tops. Some sturdy coffee tables, for example, have a top made of scrap wood or the cross-sections of a tree trunk. That robust look fits perfectly in a tough industrial interior. Are rather you looking for a subdued table? A processed oak, beech or maple model could be a good choice. These types of processed tables are usually treated with a high-gloss paints, for an extra luxurious appearance.
